The Risk Management in Enterprise and Competitiveness of Entities in the Knowledge-based Economy

Summary/Abstract: In modern enterprises the most common factors in the analysis are: the risk and the issue of competition. Each of them can have a decisive impact on the achievement of success by the company, as well as lead to the bankruptcy of the company. Bearing in mind that modern enterprises are the part of the knowledge-based economy, both these factors are the subject of many theoretical considerations. Known and used in practice at least some risk management approaches. Also, the area of competitiveness is widely analyzed by practitioners. Having this in mind, the author takes in paper attempt to show the links between these areas and define the target indication of the impact of risk management in the modern enterprise on the competitiveness of entities in the knowledge-based economy. Based on an extensive literature for particular areas, the author tries to highlight the link found in the knowledge-based economy, between risk management and competitiveness.
