Summary/Abstract: The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is one of the most modern and dynamic faculties of the Babeş-Bolyai University. However, the entire environment in which the faculty is developing is a very competitive one. Therefore, there has to be a growing accent on how to attract and retain students, by meeting their needs and expectations. But fi rst, it is necessary to be aware of those needs, through the careful study of all the dimensions of the students’ educational experience. The present study wishes to identify the main elements which outline this experience and which defi ne students’ behavior and attitudes towards the academic environment. The recognition of these elements will allow a better adjustment to their needs, and also a higher meeting of their expectations. The direct research was used to collect the data, in order to give a picture of the examined facts as clear and comprehensive as possible. The required information was gathered with the help of a team composed of seven inquirers, which during a week, each administered a number of fi fteen to twenty questionnaires. The fi ndings show that students’ satisfaction about the aspects that picture the faculty environment, such as the relationship with their teachers or the events which take place within the faculty, is relatively high. Also, it is shown that the students’ learning behavior is a rational and adequate one, and has generally brought them the results they expected. Furthermore, the study shows that although the specialty of the high school they graduated seems to be the main criteria the students use to choose the faculty, other criteria, such as the name of the faculty or the specialties it off ers, should not be neglected
