Planning and Production Control in a Plastics Industry Manufacturing Company

Summary/Abstract: The functioning of enterprises is based on the implementation of the assumed strategies and objectives. In manufacturing entities, the main of them is the production of goods in accordance with the orders and expectations of customers. Effective activity depends mainly on a properly organized and managed production system inside the company and the selection of an appropriate operating environment. It is extremely important to properly manage and control material flows within the entity in order to meet the needs of recipients.This article focuses on the presentation of the production planning and control cycle in the plastics industry and the discussion of the basic production strategies used in modern manufacturing companies. In addition, the methodology for preparing a master production plan has been presented.
