Summary/Abstract: Challenging learning environments lead to enhanced transfer and potentially better prepared graduates. Learning environment conditions can enhance or inhibit reflective practices in learning and in the professional development process. There are contextual factors that may affect the learning environment: barriers and facilitators are discussed in the paper. More specifically, the focus is on six facilitators of the learning environment: the Reflective Practicum, the use of the group as a training tool, the professional identity, the sense of authorship, the evaluation, the co-producers of the learning process.
