Mobbing in the Workplace – its Essence and Prevention

Summary/Abstract: It is often the case that workplace becomes the arena of dysfunctional and unethical actions. Mobbing entails negative implications for the whole team of workers and individuals. The need to prevent from mobbing behaviours results from the growing protection of human life, health, dignity of workers. Therefore, the aim of the article is to present the essence of the mobbing and possibilities of prevention from this phenomenon. The author indicates the circumstances of workplace which contribute to existence of mobbing behaviours, ‘mobbing’ concept and instruments likely to prevent from mobbing behaviour.
