Summary/Abstract: The main requirement for projects is the implementation of innovations. The scientific problem undertaken in the article are innovations implemented as part of tourist projects at the local level. The aim of the research is to diagnose and define the nature of innovation in local tourism projects. In addition, two specific objectives have been formulated:• C1 – Separating innovation in local tourist projects,• C1 – Presentation of good innovation management practices in completed tourism projects.The tourist projects carried out in the Podlasie voivodship were subject to research. The research puts forward two hypotheses H – Innovation implemented most often thanks to tourist projects implemented in the Podlasie Voivodship is organizational innovation, referring mainly to new forms of cooperation. The following research methods were used to implement the set goals and to verify the hypothesis: comparative analysis, participant observation and case study. The contribution to the theory of economic sciences is to identify innovations occurring in local projects and to indicate good practices of managing them as part of international cooperation. The obtained results are also of application nature and should be used during the preparation and implementation of tourist projects.
