Summary/Abstract: In this article analyzes of the practices related to the management of IT projects and the maintenance of IT services and their impact on the real success of projects weredone. Next, the gaps between project management and management of IT services were identified. A directional improvement proposal for eliminating this gaps was done. These activities will increase the probability of real success of the IT projects. The definition of project success has been updated in this article.
