Summary/Abstract: Romanian Historiography in 1999. Trends and Tendencies. Our endeavour aims at investigating "what/how" was written in matters of printed books/polygraphy in the Romanian historical science during 1999. We have tried to detect manners of "re-writing" history un accordance with the informational growth and improwed interpretative discourse. The native historiographical evolution pointed out the state of the reference instruments, the reaffirming of some less known categories of auxiliary sciences, the native rethinking of the ancient, medieval and modern history, the factual rehabilitation in the contemporary/recent one, the orientation towards the local/regional history, the taking into account of the cultural history and the continuous interrogation of the potential and the limits of the universal history research. The expressed suggestions take into account a specific paradigm made up through a free and contractual treatment interacting with some other areas in the matter. The conclusions of this approach underlines the necessity of a self-critically interdisciplinary discourse, which could lead to the reversal of the historical reflection angle between eventful/conflicting and structural/civilizing.
