The Concept of University IT Project Management

Summary/Abstract: Public management has been raising the scientific interest of many researchers for many years. As part of public management, the broadly understood project management is becoming more and more important, where the project is the most often formalized, often complex undertaking, with measures limited by resources, time and financially. The goal of project management is to create a unique product, service or solution that is an important way to achieve the organization’s goals and can introduce the intended changes. The aim of the article is to indicate the idea of project management, in particular IT projects,in higher education institutions, indicating at the same time the opportunities, but also therisks that may occur during the implementation of various projects.
