A Requirements for the Risk Management in Information and Knowledge Security at the University

Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on determining the importance of risk management in the information and knowledge security at the university. The authors identify the main information and knowledge resources used in the university, as well as examples of undesirable behaviors and situations leading to the loss of information and knowledge and possible consequences for the university. Pointing the risk management as the main element of the Information Security Management System, there were determined the formal requirementsas well as the specificity of the university’s operation, which must be included in the risk management process in information and knowledge security.
