Managing the System of Logistics Security in the Context of International Standards

Summary/Abstract: Along with the civilizational development the number of factors which generated angers is growing. New threats appear related mainly to organized crime. Contemporary dangers often cross borders infringing the security of various countries therefore forcing international cooperation. The range of subjects related to security in logistics is very wide. The course of logistic processes in normal, stable conditions, which are to some extent predictable, differs significantly when it comes to fulfilling logistic tasks in the face of a big risk. Managing risk in logistics is a hard and complex process. In order to unify the implementation and sustain the proper level of risk management, international institutions have devised some norms which specify the methods of risk assessment and risk monitoring.
