Summary/Abstract: The market of dance schools in Poland is very rich and varied, and surprisingly still not saturated. The number of people willing to participate in dance classes is constantly increasing, to the extent that there are often no vacancies in the courses. This creates a field for action for new companies. Although already 5 years ago the deregulation of the profession of trainer and sport instructor has become a reality (the deregulation act came into force on 23 August 2013), the training staff market is constantly developing. Due to the popularity and commercialism of dance, the numbers of instructors in Poland are constantly increasing. However, the level of their knowledge and skills is debatable. Today’s reality puts complex demands on them that not everyone can cope. The instructor must be not only a specialist in his field, but it is highly desirable that he simultaneously has the characteristics of a psychologist, pedagogue, coordinator, and manager. The article aims is analysis of the current situation of dance instructors on the labor market, their characteristic and approximate the market requirements towards them. It shows possibilities as well as threats on taking up this profession.
