Summary/Abstract: The authors discuss the essence of risk and problems related to risk management based on the example of a hospital. They also present the results of empirical research regarding the financing system (so-called limit financing) and flat rate financing (since October 2017)and draw conclusions from the research in their impact on the finances of independent public health care institutions.
