Ukrainian Immigrants on the Labour Market

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the paper was to attempt to present the situation of Ukrainian immigrants on the labour market. It points out, among others, the growing number of issued work permits or groups of professions in which the most numerous representations of Ukrainian workers occur. Motives guiding Ukrainians in the moment of making a decision to leave for Poland to work are also shown. The presented research results as well as forecast trends clearly point to the need to look for employees for the Lubusz labour market. Staff shortages and the vision of opening the labour market in Western Europe may be the cause of difficulties in the economy.
