Summary/Abstract: Road freight transport sector is one of the most important sectors in anycountry and makes influence at different level to various regions, different types of industries andthe whole economic development. The article investigates main economic indicators of road freighttransport sector in the Republic of Lithuania and Russian Federation, it observes generaldevelopment tendencies of this sector in Lithuania at micro level.
