Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to the next phase of the Internet’s development i.e. Internet of Things. This concept provides organizations with numerous new possibilities in the context of their functioning and the process of value creation. Simultaneously, it heightens existing challenges, expanding their scope and scale. These aspects have been analyzed in the paper. It also focuses on implications for organizations arising from the development of the Internet of Things in the context of its utilization by them and their role in the emerging IoT ecosystem.
