Summary/Abstract: While Turkey and Pakistan are two countries with everlasting and intimate relations, they also cooperate in order to develop common security policies in the international arena. It will be explanatory in formulizing the kind of relations between such countries, when we are to shed light over the relations between the two which bear similar economic, political and military capabilities that can be identified with medium-sized powers. Moreover, both nations have predominantly Muslim majorities and their relations are friendly as well. For that purpose, this article focuses on how relations between Turkey and Pakistan have evolved ever since they were established, and whether changes have occurred or not concerning the basic dynamics of bilateral relations. In addition, if changes in dynamics are observed, the study will further elaborate on why and how those changes have taken place. While change and transformation in bilateral relations is explained, special emphasis will be laid on major factors such as religious-cultural affinity (common identification), common security considerations and common economic interests. The question of which fields of cooperation mentioned above prevails in determining the course of bilateral relations will also be considered.
