Shaping of a Stable Banking System Through Credit Information Exchange

Summary/Abstract: The manner in which the real economic processes are running is in no small part reliant on the correct functioning of banking systems. The latter are meant to provide uninterrupted credit influx into parties declaring demand for currency ensuring security of both credit givers and credit takers. In order to streamline this influx while minimizing the risk, credit information bureous are developing worldwide. They enable data exchange between credit institutions which brings multiple benefits such as reduction in financial abuse, increased credit quality, heightened discipline of credit takers and also better access to credit and lowering of their cost. The aim of this study is to present the role of credit information sharing in shaping of banking system stability.
