I-voting process: the case of Estonia

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present an i-voting process using the example of Estonia, which is among the leaders in developing electronic voting methods. Estonia's experience might be an inspiration for the Polish legislators, if they made an attempt to introduce this method of voting. The author indicates the reasons for introducing electronic voting in Estonia and the way in which it was implemented, taking into account the position of the Estonian Supreme Court in this matter. The article describes in detail the procedure of voting using this method. It ends with presenting the strengths and weaknesses of the functioning of this procedure functions in Estonia and also with presenting short sessions.
