Summary/Abstract: This article presents Polish disability studies as a minority andxenological discourse inscribed in the tenets and postulatesof the new humanities. The author describes this discipline asa type of critique accompanying the actions of the representativesof critical and engaged art while pointing to its interventionalnature. The goal of this text is to specify and characterize theemancipatory strategies of deconstructing the ableist paradigmof disability. Simultaneously, the author conducts a detailedanalysis of the performance Protected Species by Rafał Urbacki and Anu Czerwiński.
