Summary/Abstract: This text examines the novels by Krystyna Kofta through the lensof philosophical reflections on the female body and senses. The essentialfinding of this analysis is the notion of developing wholenessbetween the SELF and the body. It is not only a principle motif inthe author’s work but the crux of her life philosophy, which can beconsidered in the context of the philosophy by Jolanta Brach-Czaina,the psychoanalytical reflections of Julia Kristeva as well as otherpsychoanalysts, such as Donald W. Winnicott. According to thisperspective, Kofta’s novels comprise one extensive text offering herthoughts on human existence here and now.
