Managers’ Challenges in the Changing Conditions of the Functioning of the Enterprise

Summary/Abstract: This study attempts to analyze the key managers’ challenges in the changing conditions of the functioning of the enterprise. The first part presents the definition of the contemporary manager, their roles and functions in the enterprise. The second part describes directions of management in contemporary, changing conditions. The author has analyzed the key managers’ challenges associated with current changes of determinants of the management process and has shown the desired key managerial competencies needed to meet these challenges. The article is based on the studies of literature and results of own empirical research.
