The Greening of Consumption, its Conditions and Indications on the Food Market

Summary/Abstract: The matters of this article concern the greening of consumption based on, for instance, rational use of consumable goods, reducing post-consumption waste, and consuming organic goods (mostly food). Polish consumers, who took part in a quantitative and qualitative survey in 2015, undertook a number of the mentioned actions. The results provided data on typical demographic, economic and behavioural characteristics of organic food consumers, and allowed for determining the barriers and motives of organic food consumption.
