Summary/Abstract: The following article continues the series of studies on the life and activity of the first entrepreneurs in the mining, exploitation and processing of mineral deposits in the mountains of Bukovina, i. e. Anton Manz of Mariensee (1757–1830), Vincenz Manz of Mariensee (1800–1865) and Bruno Walter (1830–1890). The author publishes, in Romanian translation, the article by which Bruno Walter pays tribute to Anton Manzʼs nephew, Vincenz Manz, who continued and developed his uncle’s work in Bukovina. He died on July 10, 1865. The article, dated Borșa, July 16, 1865, appeared in German language in the newspaper “Bukowinaˮ (Chernivtsi, no. 87, Sunday, July 23, 1865, p. 2–3).
