Summary/Abstract: In this paper we shall approach the legal issues regarding the functioning of the family council, which are part of the area of regulation of Art 129 of the Civil Code. In a first step, we shall talk about the summoning of this council and after that about its valid meeting. The regulation of this aspects by the legislator it is owed to the fact that any entity with certain attributions must comply with well-established rules allowing it to function in a valid manner.
