Summary/Abstract: Under the circumstances when the criteria that divide art into certain domains are less and less definite, there appears the necessity of reactualizing the notions of contemporaneity, innovation, this fact being a natural process for choreographic art as well. The author examines the practice of using household goods (objects) in choreographic art and their role and functions in forming modern choreographic compositions. The paper presents an evolution of the artistic discourse and analyses the correlation of traditional and innovative tendencies which help ballet masters to create artistic images in dance using household objects.
