Risk and Uncertainty in Multi-echelon Systems on the Example of Liquid Fuels

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the holistic approach to the risk and the uncertainty in the supply chain from the perspective of the Multi- Echelon Inventory-Management concept. Although, in the literature there are available separate classifications of risk and uncertainty considering different areas of the supply chain, there is lack of the holistic perspective of the supply chain in that area. Taking into account the identified research gap, in the presented paper a  model classification of the risk and uncertainty, from the perspective of the entire supply chain was determined. Article was prepared in accordance to the research literature and observations of the multi-echelon supply chain of liquid fuels.
