Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to give an insight to the problem of the transfer of values in the process of succession. The family values, the business values and the personal values are all influenced by the changes in society (eg. alternative models of family), culture (different models of life) and technology (eg. enabling model LAT – living apart together), which subsequently impacts the management and running of a family firm.
