Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to attempt an inventory of knowledge on the subject of Polish family firms, which was created by the participants of the ‘Family Businesses’ Scientific Conference organized by University of Social Sciences in Łódź. The results from the analysis made herein indicate: the main fields of Polish family firms studies, research trends, research methods and techniques used by participants of the conference as well as uncharted territories i.e. the fields of study which have not been investigated yet enough, but whose exploration may be essential to understand processes and phenomena occuring in national family firms.
