Summary/Abstract: In México, the main reasons for the failure of small and medium enterprises are the problems of organizational structure, low investment of entrepreneurs and Family disorganization. The situation may change if many Family businesses apply the model of corporate governance and Family probate scheme that contributes to the organization, and professional control in the Company. Some entrepreneurs think that the acceptance and implementation of this model is only for large capital companies, or to companies listed on the stock Exchange. This perception is wrong according to this study. This research is quantitative and qualitative character. First, relevant information was collected in the INEGI; second, a survey of 200 executives and business managers was conducted. The results reveal that corporate management and Family protocol must be implemented in Family businesses since they are small for their Development can be exponential. In conclusion, the change of perception is more than necessary.
