The Organization of Territorial Defence from the Perspective of Safety Culture

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the essence of safety culture, generally understood as totality of creations aimed at creating, maintaining and increasing the level of security of any of the beneficiaries. Considerations regarding safety culture were shown from the perspective of the three spheres of human activity – mental, material and organizational. In particular it analyzes the area of organizational decisions on a new kind of Armed Forces – Territorial Defence. This concerns especially the recruitment of soldiers, future tasks in time of war and peace, the training system and how to store weapons. The area of mentioned subjects were evaluated from the perspective of safety culture, characteristic for the state entity which determines, among other things, a way of thinking about security and feeling of safety, as well as ways of achieving safety.
