Summary/Abstract: In this study, the situations in which the textile material and its own techniques are used as an act of production are examined in performance art, which does not usually produce an art object. In today's art performances; it is observed that knitting techniques are exhibited in the presentation of the action-production as art together with inclusion of the body. The action of production is undoubtedly a performance to watch and it is integrated with the conceptual elements of the techniques. In this regard, the study examines the statements of the artists and also reviews the concept of objectlessness in the literature in order to explain the examples. At this point, it can be said that the production techniques, which are conceptualized through performance, are handled independently from the materials associated with them in these action-productions where new art situations are revealed. However these situations, which may be perceived beyond textile art or other art forms using textiles because of their post modern features, are somehow related to textile material that inherits centuries of technical progress. Nowadays, new narratives can be presented with the possibilities of textile materials and introduced to the art audience for reperception.
