Summary/Abstract: Travelling by air is perceived to be the safest way of transportation. It is because of the efforts put into creation of safety regulations. Of a particular interest are the relations between the United States of America and the European Union. Two vast markets of great economic power on both sides of the North Atlantic have a tempestuous history regarding aviation and the area of safety is engraved in that pattern. Mutual understanding and reciprocal provisions had to be achieved even at a high cost in order to maintain smooth cooperation for the sake of not only safety itself but many aspects of a public interest.
