Summary/Abstract: This article investigates the autobiographic character of Polish-German/German-Polish migrant literature. The text refers to recent research in the German language, highlighting differences with approaches prevalent in Polish scholarship. At the same time, the article illustrates how the idea of “contact between neighboring philologies” can be realized in practice.
