Summary/Abstract: In a rule of law, law enforcement is an essential requirement for the stability of public order and the harmonious development of the social life. Ensuring the legality implies the duty of every citizen to comply with the general provisions of the law. In the system of separation of powers, the judiciary has a number of key tasks in ensuring the proper functioning of all state mechanisms, guaranteeing the citizens’ rights and freedoms. Acting as a balancing factor between the legislative and the executive powers, the judiciary is called upon to repair any possible malfunctions in the system of separation of powers, to allow by the specific means to repair some injustices, to eliminate any unwanted abuses of power, while guaranteeing the rule of law and contributing to a convincing picture of the principles and values of democracy.
