Тhe Chinese “Book of Changes” as a Direct Reflection of Reality

Summary/Abstract: Global communication in the information age raises the question of the relevance of the binary code used in the Chinese “Book of Changes”. Known and used primarily as a kind of “oracle” for divination, the book remains a mystery for its researchers and interpreters. The skillful exercise of the “seven arts” in ancient times probably bore the same immediate perception and understanding as is reflected in the ideograms commented upon in the “I Ching”. Chinese masters from the so-called “internal” martial arts schools directly testify to this in their explanations and guidance to practitioners. This presents the real possibility that the practice of traditional “martial arts” still retains a part of the sensitivity transmitted through the centuries about the hidden nature of the world and the direct communication with it. Of course, “mastery” is necessary!
