Summary/Abstract: The article intends to ask, in a rightful manner, some questions about the place that the military forces and structures take in the social system, the manner they interact with the society they are called to protect. What is the military’s purpose in the Romanian society? Do the military forces develop cultural differences or similarities regarding the Romanian society? Is the military a part of the society or a distinct entity? And how do we operate with those concepts, as the contemporary world is crossing an unprecedented identity crisis and the doctrinaire movement has to readjust quickly the concepts becoming without questions a must have to their survival.
