Summary/Abstract: Israel is today, in a so-called “shatterbelt” zone, consisting of six regional powers - Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria and Turkey. The degree of political fragmentation and the specific tension between them will be maintained for long in the region. Following the tensed situation in the area, Israel had to develop its military capability in order to take action fast, short, in order to ensure its existence. Its military force supports the idea of survival in a region where most of its close neighbours show a certain degree of hostility. But this military force can create a paradigm of security for Israel, which can reignite conflicts between it and its neighbours.
