Summary/Abstract: In the context of literary genres, the Prophet’s birth, miracles, virtue, prophethood, words, physical and moral aspects, names, adjectives, descendants, death, that is to say all aspects of his life were dealt with in various forms in prosaic or poetical works. In addition to these the na’ts, written by almost every poet in order to praise him in Turkish Islamic literature since the early period, in terms of quality and quantity have a special place among the literary genres of the Prophet. This genre is particularly prominent in terms of quantity because the desire to show the deep love of the Prophet and the beginning of Islamic books with the basmalah, praise and salawat was effective in this. In addition, the tradition of initiating the diwan or masnavi with tawhid and invocation and continuing with na’t was influential in this. Almost every poet tried to write naat in the form of literary work. In addition to this, some poets have created their works only from na’ts (divan-i nuût). Moreover, it is seen that the na’t journals (mecmua) were created by gathering the na’ts written by different poets in both religious and mystical form and content. The center of action of this work, which is based on promotion and evaluation, is the na’ts in these magazines. This study aims to reveal the effect of the thought of the Prophet in Sufism on Turkish Islamic society, culture and especially on na’ts. Besides, this study examines in the light of scientific data and examples what the authors of na’t put on the foundations of the work from this idea in the axis of existence, knowledge and morality.
