Summary/Abstract: Painter Omer Mujadžić was one of the most important names in the history of modern painting in Croatia, and his particularly original contribution was expressed in the period between the Two World Wars. Although he spent most of his creative life and pedagogical activities as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, for a full understanding of his fine art poetics, painting interests and artistic subtlety, it is important to include his origins from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the interpretation of his work. Omer Mujadžić has been recorded in the history of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb as the youngest student who passed the entrance examination in 1918 and this text reminds us of this important anniversary, which is significant for the beginning of modernity in Bosnian and Herzegovinian painting
