Summary/Abstract: The glass icon “The Blessed Virgin of Sorrows” with inventory number 1246OC is not dated or signed. After detailed analysis we assigned it to the icon painter Pavel Zamfir from Laz. The icon is from Câlnic village, Alba County. This glass icon is part of a series of five icons that are held by “Astra” National Museum, and all have undergone special restoration.
