In Rem Effect of Contract of Lease in the Legal Order of the Interwar Czechoslovak Republic within the Territory of Slovakia

Summary/Abstract: Article focuses on the regulation of lease in the legal order of the interwar Czechoslovak Republic in the territory of Slovakia. The main aim of the article is to verify whether lease in this period had apart from inter partes also erga omnes effect typical of the institutes of the law of things. Article will analyse whether lease survived the transfer of ownership of the leased thing as well as the nature of legal protection awarded to the lessee against 3rd parties. Included in the analysis will also be the relevant caselaw of this period.
