Summary/Abstract: Understanding the general content, classification systems and the information they contain is important for the generation of new knowledge in the field in question. In order to make full use of the sources of tafsīr, in addition to recognizing the authors, it is necessary to know the aims, methods and language of the promotion in detail. In this article, it will be tried to draw attention to the language used by Jalālayn, one of the most read/taught tafsīr sources in the past and today, and the method of reading and understanding. Concerned that the volume of his article would not fit within the boundaries of the article, Sūrat al-Fātihā was limited to tafsīr. The said commentary was compared with it’s primary sources. In this study, if the language of the com-mentators is not sufficiently known, it is concluded that the information between the lines of commentary cannot be understood properly.
