Summary/Abstract: This paper intends to bring forward, to the reader, the concerns of a young man, who originates in the Valley of the river Hârtibaci and who succeeds, by brush and paint, to bring to life iconic figures of the orthodox Christianity in religious paintings full of piety. Sergiu Pârvu is one of the persons who own, in a high degree, the skills and techniques necessary for the production of certain aspects of the cultural life of Romania and who possess the ability to carry on parts of the cultural patrimony. In the current state of action, when the traditional trades have underwent serious changes, and the number of trades and practitioners has decreased, we consider that the artistic activity of the painter Sergiu Pârvu should be protected and encouraged by the suggestion of his inclusion among the living human treasures.
