GEOPOLITICS OF QUANTUM BUDDHISM: OUR PRE-HYDROCARBON TAO FUTURE.RIO +20 AND PARIS – WITHOUT PROGRESS AT SUMMITS

Summary/Abstract: From Rio to Rio and Paris, with Kyoto, Copenhagen and Durban between, the conclusion remains the same: there is a general disagreement about the real state of this planet and the ways in which we can talk about it. A decisive step would require both: broader views and more diverse participation in identifying the problem, formulating guidelines in order to expand and harmonize our overall actions. Who is really motivated in politics to design and adopt long-term and far-reaching decisions? Politically, this is not worth because such decisions are often too complex, and they take too much time to survive the periodicity and scope of national elections, as well as the taste or understanding of the average voter. Our global crisis is not ecological, financial or political-economic. Deep and structural, this is a crisis of thought, a recession of courage, and the absence of our ideas − all that leads us to a moral sink. And therefore it should not be surprising: the Rio Summit was without a wishful turn.
