Summary/Abstract: The article concerns inspirations, borrowings and transformations of motifs from horrormovies, present in music videos of heavy metal bands. It emphasises the aspect of diverseapproach of heavy metal music video makers to horror topos, interpreted in the contextof specific metal music genres. The analysis of selected examples was conducted with the useof cultural and film-related approach.
