Summary/Abstract: Virgil Tănase’s literature is about life, ideas, hopes and people who flee from the burden of the totalitarian system toward the West. Virgil Tănase expressed in his writings a deliberate appetency for breaking all the clearly established patterns, a fierce desire to avoid all the obligations of a pre-established meaning. Whether in prose or theatre, the writer Virgil Tănase masks another side of his persona, reflecting it in a special way, creating a sensitive, dreamy but also rational, rebellious and emancipated character.
