Summary/Abstract: The study provides a detailed analysis of review reflections of Bibliotheka českých původních románů historických a novověkých (Bibliotheca of original Czech novels both historical and contemporary) from 1855 to 1860, collection by a Prague publisher Kateřina Jeřábková. Primarily, the study utilizes the term of the literary-critical field which is considered a complement of the literary field (P. Bourdieu), and primal reception wave (D. Tureček). The extraordinary number of reviews of the bibliotheca, which worked as a general publishing platform for original Czech novels and longer stories for a short time, took place across the whole literary-critical field. The abundant research materials are divided in accordance with the type and focus of the periodicals which make up the individual segments of the field.
