Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to investigate music reviews in relation to discourse analysis. The data was collected from a Polish monthly “Teraz Rock” and an American biweekly “Rolling Stone” (all issues from 2015). The study proves that print media music reviews are rooted in print media discourse which absorbs, to some extent, other types of discourse, such as: music, artistic, elite and promotional. The examination of discourse configuration in music reviews enables to distinguish some features of journalism cultures, typical of the magazines in question.
