Summary/Abstract: This article contains a reminiscence of Professor Jerzy Wołek, deceased on 1 January 2013,an academic teacher at the Institute of Biology, Pedagogical University of Cracow, a long-termemployee of the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences, a specialist in botany, ecology,plant sociology and didactics of biology. This publication also includes a bibliography ofselected research papers of Professor Jerzy Wołek.
